BASC Bedfordshire Indoor Road Show
We are very sorry to announce that the BASC event at Shuttleworth to be held in November has now been cancelled by BASC due to the rising
costs of hire!
We would like to pass on our apologies and disappointment to the many
customers who were looking forward to the event as much as we
were.

The Working Dog Company offer congratulations and are delighted to announce that one of our principal clients, Andy Cullen of Laochin Gun Dogs has been awarded the Keith Erlandson Memorial Trophy for 'Gun Dog Trainer of the year 2011'.

He will be presented with this prestigious award at this years CLA Game Fair in July.

BASC Braintree Road Show, 25th November 2010

Midland Game Fair 18th & 19th September 2010
Working Dog Company™ are pleased to announce that we have agreed to sponsor the 2010 Game and Wildlife Conservation Trust (GWCT) Gun Dog working test finals over the weekend of the 18th & 19th of September.
The schedule for the finals is:
- Saturday 18th September Morning - Special Puppy, Afternoon - Open.
- Sunday 19th September Morning - Novice Dog & Handler, Afternoon - Novice.
In addition the GWCT have agreed to use the WDC range of Pheasant and Partridge dummies for the tests. We will of course have our range of dummies available for our existing and new customers on the GWCT stand in the Gun Dog Arena.

Stolen Cocker Spaniels
On Tuesday 27 July two working cockers spaniels were stolen from locked kennels in Bedfordshire.
Frolic: Chocolate bitch with white on chest. Sam: Orange and white dog. It is believed these two dogs were specifically targeted. Both are microchipped and there is a reward for their safe return.

Exciting news! The Working Dog Company™ attended The IPC Media 2010 Shooting Industry Awards on the 20th May and are thrilled to announce we scooped the Best New Shooting Accessory 2010 Award for our 'Easy Mark' Design dummy.

To be held at The Essex Shooting Ground, Fyfield, Essex. 10 am start, £8 entry fee on the day. Hot & Cold Food & Drinks available. Spaniel, Retriever & HPR Novices and Open Classes, also a scurry.

Once again, The Working Dog Company™ are very pleased to announce that they will be attending the ever popular Bedfordshire County & Country Show' at Old Warden on Saturday and Sunday 10th & 11th July.
As well as full range of Gundog training products for sale we will be running our 'Gundog Pick Up Scurry'. Each entrant will be asked to retrieve 2 dummies against the clock, fastest time wins! Bring your Gundog along and have a go, prizes each day for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places.
If you have any problems regarding training your dog or just need advice then we are also thrilled to welcome along Jim Gale - 'A' Panel Field Trial Judge, Gundog Handler and Trainer to our stand with his Gundog Advice Clinic. Jim has many successful years experience with Gun Dogs so if he cannot provide helpful advice no one can!
So if you own a Gundog or are thinking about owning one or want to know what is involved in training and keeping one fit and active, come along and see us, we look forward to meeting you there.

3rd June 2009: Working Dog Partnership!
Ian and Jill Clinton of Working Dog Company™ presenting dummies to Howard Kirby of Mullenscote Gundog Training School and Demonstration Team.
Following a chance meeting at The Midland Game Fair a new business relationship has been struck. Mullenscote Gundogs from Andover, Hampshire are now working with The Working Dog Company™ who are based in Hertfordshire.
“We pulled into the trade stand area at The Midland Game Fair in the pitch dark, we had no chance of finding our stand, Ian from the Working Dog Company recognised our plight and came out to help us.” said Howard Kirby of Mullenscote.
“We immediately struck up a friendship and the next day visited Ian and Jill on their stand. The Working Dog Companies ground breaking new style Pheasant and Partridge Retriever training dummies caught my eye. Ian gave us a couple of the dummies to try out and we were really impressed.”
“The dogs love the dummies, shaped and weighted like a bird and made in the shape of a Rugby ball the dummy bounces erratically as it hits the ground.”
“Our busy Dog Training Centre means that all of our training equipment gets some very heavy use. The dummies are used everyday here at Mullenscote and we are just delighted to be able to supply them to our clients.”
“We too are delighted to be associated with Howard and his team at Mullenscote Gundogs and Lains Shooting School.” said Ian Clinton of the Working Dog Company.
